CHRISTOPHER A. JOHNSON TO BE AWARDED “The PINNACLE”
MADISON, N.J. (June 5, 2009) – In ceremonies to be held on June 5th at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s College at Florham in Madison, New Jersey, construction executive Christopher A. Johnson will be inducted into The PINNACLE Society, the highest honorary award the university bestows upon its most distinguished alumni.
The PINNACLE recipients are chosen based on success or distinction in their chosen field of endeavor, significant contributions to society and humanity through public or humanitarian service, and outstanding service to the University or reflection of the unique character of Fairleigh Dickinson in their lives.
As Managing Partner and CEO of Hollister Construction Services (HCS), which is recognized as one of the fastest growing full-service construction companies in the New Jersey marketplace, Mr. Johnson is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the firm’s operations and is the principal in charge of construction management services. HCS serves New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Delaware from its offices located in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey and Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, and has recently been named as one of the top companies to work for in New Jersey based on its steadfast commitment to customer service and workplace quality of life.
Mr. Johnson has represented a distinguished list of major public, private and institutional property and business owners in New Jersey and has built more than 6 million square feet of industrial, commercial and retail space in the region. In 2004, Mr. Johnson entered into a partnership with Charles Klatskin to develop a full service construction venture which became Hollister Construction Services.
Mr. Johnson is a past member of the FDU Alumni Board of Governors, Vice President and Chair of the Alumni Awards Committee and a member of the Clubs & Chapters and Nominating committees. Mr. Johnson also served as Chair of the Division III Alumni Golf Outing and is leading the alumni efforts for Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity to endow a scholarship at FDU’s College at Florham.
In addition to his dedicated service to Fairleigh Dickinson University, Mr. Johnson is an Original Trustee of The Hollister Foundation, an independent philanthropic organization serving the New York / New Jersey metropolitan area. The mission of The Hollister Foundation is to raise funds and promote awareness for children’s education and health programs through foundation-led initiatives. Mr. Johnson is also an active board member for the Ryan Wolfe Kossar SIDS Foundation, The CJ Foundation for SIDS Research and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Northern New Jersey. He also donates his time to the Newark-based Development School for Youth program which mentors inner city students for future professional careers.
Mr. Johnson received his Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Entrepreneurial Studies (1993) from the College at Florham. He also holds a Certificate in Project Management from Rutgers University. Mr. Johnson and his wife Jennifer reside in Mendham, NJ with their two beautiful children, Hunter and Payton.
