Hollister Construction Services has been retained as construction manager by The Newark Museum to rehabilitate and renovate their historic campus in Newark, NJ. Opening in 1926, the museum aims to fully engage the community and public in an inviting manner with the goal of increasing visibility, accessibility and foot traffic to the museum.

The project will consist of renovating the museum's main entrance, closed for 20 years. The scope of work will include the re-design of an outdoors plaza, while inside features will include a new state-of-the-art visitor amenities and a new 5,000sf special exhibition gallery to accommodate major exhibitions. This rehabilitation will transform the museum into an attractive new public destination for locals and visitors.

The project will be performed in phases while the museum remains open and fully operational.
