Project Summary:
Hollister is providing construction management services for the construction of a new 13-story supportive housing in the Bedford Park area of the Bronx. The new 83,000sf building will feature 118 units of affordable housing for families, senior and singles. Bedford Green House resident swill have access to various amenities including a workforce development office, laundry room, community area, warming pantry and a playground.
Bringing a true green space to the project will be a rooftop green house and the building itself, which will be covered in carbon sequestering plants. The operational greenhouse will not only bring the residents and community closer to nature, it will provide a center for learning as well as put food on the table. The project will pursue LEED Gold certification. |
